ouch

I somehow managed to hurt my kneck last wednesday- I couldn't hardly move for two days! But did get a paid week off which is kinda cool. I don't have a clue how I did it, but I woke up Wednesday morning in a lot of pain. It might have been from work because I was moving a lot of appliances an furniture but who knows. I feel a lot better now, so I'm just enjoying the paid time off.

My sisters and best friend bought their bridesmaid dresses last weekend. Everything is finally coming together. Only 3 more months!

I finally have my apartment looking decent. I was so behind in laundry and cleaning. But it looks good. I love it when my apartment is clean, I feel more at peace and relaxed. I just hate cleaning it :-).

Geneseo!!!

"Your academic achievements are most impressive and will serve you well as you begin your studies this fall. Congratulations on your admission!"

I'm so happy. I was honesty getting nervous that I didn't have what it takes to go to Geneseo-I couldn't get ahold of any of my previous professor's to request a recomendation and I haven't taken any courses in the last year and I don't know that the courses I have taken would be accepted by Geneseo toward my majors (Special ed and English). Oh but I'm so happy now. My hard work in the classes I have taken have paid off and I am finally on the road toward one of my dreams!

Wedding Planning

I am so lost when it comes to planning my wedding. I spent TWO entire HOURS at Michaels Craft Store today searching for centerpieces and left the store empty-handed. I had some ideas, but I thought they were all boring ideas- if I weren't such a perfectionist this wedding planning thing might actually be considered fun. I think I'll just have to have my sisters and Rachel tell me what to do as far as decorations beacuse if it's left up to me it'll never get done...

This wedding is so expensive as well. Ryan and I save and save and I try to not get discouraged but it's difficult. I don't want an all-out wedding, but I want it to be beautiful and representative of the love and life Ryan and I share. Did you know that the average wedding cost is $22 THOUSAND dollars? I was shocked when I first heard that statistic but then when I started planning my own I realized how easy it would be to reach that number. No, I haven't even spent a fourth of that amount, but it would be easy...

Three months and and thirteen days...

Anyway...the rest of my life is going well. I'm happy, a bit overworked, busy, and tired. I worked twelve hours days for the last three days and boy did I work. The ladies I serve kept me running all twelve hours.

I didn't watch the superbowl, instead I watched a "Little House on the Prairie" marathon on Hallmark. I started to watch the marathon of "America's Next Top Model" starring Tyra Banks, but then I got disgusted and found the "Little House on the Prairie" marathon.

I'm working on writing my first book. I'm excited, I just wish I had more time to work on it. It'll take a long time to finish, but I know it will be worth it.

My little sister (age 10) sent me a few hand-made pictures of the wedding cake she wants me to have...she is insistent that I told her that she could pick out the wedding cake, I don't remember saying that, but I'll try to include her :-)

Life is Good.
